Other info: entered the Order of St. Frances at age 30 in 1904 and was ordained by RT. Rev. Joseph Chartrand in Oldenburg, Indiana, on June 20, 1912. He celebrated his First Solemn Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in California, Campbell County, Kentucky on June 25, 1912. His first appointment was as hospital chaplain in Bloomington as pastor and superior until 1927, when he transferred to Peoria, Illinois as assistant pastor and hospital chaplain. Adam spent a large part of his ministry in Peoria, Illinois, but came back to Sts. Peter and Paul to celebrate his Silver Jubilee in June 1937. The Pieta in the rear of the church was donated by his family. Adam became director of the brother's school in Metamora, Illinois in 1934. There he died suddenly. |
